Implementers' Guide

InternationalImp

Description

ITU Implementers' Guides collect amendments, corrigenda, and errata into a single living document per Recommendation. Identified by an .Imp suffix on the base series (e.g. G.Imp712, X.ImpOSI).

Syntax

ITU Recommendations follow the pattern: ITU-[Sector] [Series][Number]-[Year]. Sectors include R (Radiocommunication), T (Telecommunication Standardization), and D (Telecommunication Development). The long-form "Recommendation ITU-[Sector] ..." prefix is accepted. Editions may be suffixed bis/ter/quater. Common-text identifiers co-published with ISO/IEC use the pipe separator: "Recommendation ITU-T X.1234 | ISO/IEC 5678-1".
